Trust GXT Fayzo: First impressions and scope of delivery
The headset feels solid and compact, with no wobbly plastic parts. The headband is adjustable with a notched mechanism, but there are no other adjustment options. The head padding feels rather thin, the clamping force on the ears is quite high and the headset sits very snug. The gooseneck of the detachable microphone is long enough, but a bit stiff when trying to position it. The buttons are recessed and therefore somewhat hard to find by touch when the headset is on.
Included in the box is the USB dongle for wireless use, two USB C cables for charging (one to USB C, one to USB A) and a 3.5mm audio cable for wired use. So when it comes to connectivity options, there should be something for every situation. The ear cushions are made of faux leather on the sides and a mesh fabric where they rest against your head, and they are not replaceable.

Setup and Features
Pairing with the USB dongle is a bit unusual since it has to be done while the headset is turned off. The instructions, which consist entirely of pictograms, are not entirely clear here either. Bluetooth pairing also only works from the powered off state. Once paired with your phone, the Bluetooth connection stays active so the phone automatically connects the next time you turn the headset on.
Thanks to the dual wireless functionality, both connections can be used at the same time. The Bluetooth signal is routed to the “Chat” channel (speech bubble), while the PC signal goes to the “Game” channel (controller icon). Using the dial on the headset, you can create a volume mix between PC and phone, which is very practical. However, it lacks a detented center position like you would find on more expensive competing products such as the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7*. This means you might accidentally bump the dial when putting the headset on and have to readjust the mix every time.
There is also a second dial for overall volume, a mute slider for the microphone and a button for the lighting that also lets you toggle the virtual 7.1 surround sound.
Sound Quality of Headphone and Microphone
The microphone is a different story: after initial comparisons, the voice sounds very quiet and thin. When testing the microphone in the Windows settings, the system only shows a level of 8 percent compared to 20 percent on competing models. A recording at normal speaking volume with in game sound also shows that the voice struggles to cut through and is barely audible. You will need to boost the levels on the software side, as most programs offer this option (Discord etc.).
Activating the 7.1 surround mode extends the sound slightly behind the ears and downward, making it feel more spatial and wider (but also a bit louder overall). However, the localization actually gets worse as a result. Most gamers will probably activate the mode once, get used to it and then forget about it. If you want to hear exactly where a sound source is coming from, you should stick with stereo mode.
Dual Wireless and Multiplatform
During testing in wireless mode, there were unfortunately occasional small crackles and dropouts in the sound that were noticeably unpleasant. When contacted about this, the support team responded very quickly and in an exemplary manner, recommending use via Bluetooth or wired instead. Unfortunately, radio frequencies are often more than congested especially in urban areas, and interference with devices like these is not uncommon.
Conclusion: A Decent Budget Alternative for Gamers?
For a fair entry level price, you get a gaming headset with an exceptional feature set. Of course, not every aspect is high end quality, but in everyday use, small weaknesses probably won’t matter much. The comfort is fine, only the headband could use a bit more padding.
