TL;DR Our Rating:
★★★★☆
The sound is good, with a solid proximity effect and clear trembles. It can compete with the NT-USB+ and similar products.
★★★★☆
The connectivity is good, and the microphone does what it's supposed to do. The RGB lighting is not adjustable, and there is no additional software.
★★★★★
The workmanship itself is good, but the cable from the microphone arm to the microphone hangs somewhat unaesthetically. The microphone arm is high quality.

Trust Gaming GXT 255+ ONYX: First impressions and contents of delivery
The Trust Gaming GXT 255+ ONYX is a professional microphone with an arm. What makes this complete solution particularly good is the high-quality microphone arm, the crystal-clear sound of the microphone, and the fact that it is purely a “PC microphone.” In other words, it only has a USB connection and is not designed to support smartphones. The first impression is good, and the workmanship is good for the price. It is plastic, but solid and high-quality. The internal cabling in the microphone arm is really practical!
The scope of delivery includes the microphone itself, a short USB-C to USB-C cable, and the microphone arm. Unfortunately, the short cable makes a rather unsightly bend.
Microphone with professional studio quality?
The microphone is mounted in an elastic holder that absorbs jerky movements. The professional diaphragm microphone is designed to capture crystal-clear sound recordings. It’s hard to imagine, but this is a condenser microphone, which makes it ideal for recording instruments. It has a cardioid polar pattern, which attenuates background noise.
The headphone jack on the front of the microphone allows us to monitor our own voice in real time and without delay.
On the same side, we find a large gain control for microphone amplification and mute.
It also has an LED lighting ring, which makes it a true gaming microphone. The mute setting is located on the front. When muted, the microphone lights up red as a warning.
High-quality microphone arm
The microphone arm is impressive because it is highly adjustable. It has a table stand with a C-clamp, which secures it firmly to the table. It can be set to a low profile so that the field of view remains unobstructed when streaming, or used as a classic boom arm. The entire stand is made of metal and therefore feels robust. The cable management is exceptionally well designed, as the cable runs through the arm. This means there are no cables in the way, which is a real bonus! Above the microphone, there is a USB hub with two ports where you can connect the microphone. Although it is not clear what the additional USB port can be used for, it can’t do any harm.
The only thing that is a little difficult is adjusting the joint tension, but if you tighten it firmly, it stays in position.
Conclusion: Good gaming and streaming microphone
All in all, the Trust offers studio-quality recordings. USB microphones ensure professional-level content production, whether for podcasts or vlogs on Twitch and Facebook. It is a good gaming or streaming microphone with an arm that can compete with its competitors from Røde in terms of quality.
