Our Rating:

The sound performs well in this price range while being on cable, but the sound quality gets worse using 2.4 gHz and even worse with bluetooth
★★★★★
The connectivity is great, you have so many opportunities to connect the gaming headset to any console, pc, mac with and without cable.

For this price segment, it's quite good. It feels a little bit more uncomfortable than more expensive models and it sometimes feels a bit too "plasticy"

Oniverse Polaris: First impressions and scope of delivery
In the scope of delivery, you actually get an idea of how flexible the polaris is. You can connect it via cable to older phones or laptops, you can use the 2.4 gHz Dongle with USB-A and you even get a USB-C Dongle. On top of that, the Microphone is detachable, so you can use it as a casual headset, too.
The first impression is quite good, for its price range, the materials seem quite soft and comfortable. After a few hours of wearing it, i got a slight discomfort on the head part of the headset, which seems normal to me in this price range.

Technical features
As stated above, this headset is a real all in one solution, since you can connect it to any Console (PS5, PS4, SWITCH, XBOX via Cable) or PC, Mac, Android and iOS. This makes it not just a Gaming Headset, but a nice everyday headphone, too, you can also turn off the RGB Light.
It has a wireless battery capacity of 33 hours with RGB activated or 40 hours without the RGB light. The 2,4 GHz Dongle has a Latency of 22ms and performs very solid sound without a feeling of lag.
The Bluetooth Connection is not that strong, it’s only 10 Meters and it will be even worse indoors when you go into another room. The model has a weight of 225 grams and it does not use any licensed surround sound, but it promises 7.1 virtual surround sound.Other Gaming Headsets use dts or dolby licensed surround sound.
Cheap or good?
There are a lot of products in this price range in the gaming headset market. We feel like we are getting flooded with products from china with chinese, european or american brand names. It’s often hard to tell, if it’s some kind of trash product, that just gets produced to earn money, or if it’s a product to last and give you a good user experience. With this headset, we felt like it’s not a trash product. The Bluetooth Mode is not very recommended to play, but its okay to listen to music from time to time.
The microphone is very clear when it’s connected via cable to the device you’re using. The attaching and detaching doesn’t feel like you will break the device any seconds, like with other models in this price range.
Overall, it’s not the best gaming headset, of course! You would have to invest a lot more to get the best. But it’s a cheap and versatile headset. If you have a very high standard of sound quality, we suggest you look for a more expensive model.
Gaming Headset or casual headphones?
So the uniqueness of this headset is, that it’s easy to change to a casual headphone for everyday. You just plug out the microphone and turn off the RGB light. You can use it via Bluetooth with your phone and that works seamlessly.
Sometimes these solutions feel like you go to an Italian restaurant and they also offer Spanish food. You have a bad feeling, that it will perform well in both worlds. But in this case, the Oniverse Polaris performs quite well! It feels like a headphone for everyday use too.
If you really want a perfect headset and a perfect headphone for everyday life, you should buy it separately. But: You will also have to invest more money for two good models. So this is a great alternative to buying two headsets!
Conclusion: Is it worth it?
The Oniverse Polaris delivers a mix of flexibility, comfort and value. With a detachable mic, a 2.4 GHz dongle for low latency, Bluetooth for casual listening, and up to 40 hours of battery life without RGB, it covers gaming sessions and everyday use with little fuss. Sound quality is solid on a cable, merely okay over wireless, and the build can feel a bit plasticky, yet the overall package is better than most products at this price.
Choose the Polaris if you want one headset that can jump from console or PC to phone and you care more about convenience than chasing reference grade audio. Skip it if you demand premium materials or the very best sound and are ready to pay for it. For everyone else, this is an affordable all in one headset that earns an easy recommendation.
